Recording Trim Tool
Use the Recording Trim tool in MyVideoSpot's Recording Tools to remove unwanted sections from the beginning and end of your video before saving it to your account.
Step 1: Access the Trim Recording Section
After creating an audio, video, or screen recording, scroll down below your recording on the MyVideoSpot recorder page until you see the Trim Recording section.
Step 2: Trim the Beginning or Ending of the Video
If needed, move the trim handles to remove unwanted content at the beginning or end of your video. If you need to trim a portion at the start of the video, drag and drop the left handle inward to the point where you want the video to begin. If you need to trim a portion at the end of the video, drag and drop the right handle inward to the point where you want the video to end.
Step 3: Preview the Trimmed Portion
Click Preview to play back the video to confirm that you have trimmed off the correct portions.
Step 4: Adjust, Reset, and Finalize the Trim Range
Preview your changes and, if necessary, use the reset option to start trimming again from the original full-length video. When you are satisfied with the start and end points, proceed to apply the trim.
Step 5: Apply the Trim Permanently
Select Apply Trim to confirm your trimming selection. When prompted, click Yes, Apply Trim to finalize.
Once applied, the video is permanently trimmed and cannot be reverted to its original form. Ensure you are completely satisfied with your edits before confirming.
Step 6: Confirm and Save the Trimmed Recording
After trimming is complete, click OK to proceed. You can now save the trimmed recording to your account.
Step 7: Update Attributes and Return Home
When prompted, update the video’s attributes (such as title, description, or other metadata) as needed, then finalize the save. Return to your home page, where you will see the trimmed video processing in your account; it will be ready to view shortly.
