Searching for Content

Use the district-wide media search tools to quickly find, organize, and access content shared across your district. Follow the steps below to search for media, refine results, favorite useful items, and easily return to them later.

Items will appear in “Search All” results only if the owner has set their sharing permissions to “Public” or “All Users.” Any media marked as “Private” will not display in district-wide searches.

Step 1:  Access the Search All Media Box

When you click on your name in the bottom-left corner, a new menu will slide up. At the top of this menu, locate the “Search All Media” box.

Step 2: Run a District-Wide Search

In the “Search All Media” box, type a keyword, topic, or title. Your search results will open with a full advanced search view. Below the advanced search view, you will see your media results from the initial search. From here, you can sort results by media type, number of views, or date added by clicking the relevant heading at the top of the results list.

Step 3: Refine Results Using Advanced Filters

Further narrow your district-wide search results by using the filters and dropdown options in the advanced search panel.

Step 4: Open and Use Media from District Search

When you find an item you’d like to use, click to open it. Depending on the owner's settings, there will be various actions you can take with the item. You will be able to view the item and also mark the item as a favorite if you want to access it quickly later.

Step 5: Access All Your Favorited Media

To view all your favorites—both your own media and items from others—click on “Media Tools” in the left-hand menu. Then select “Favorite Media.” This section consolidates all of your favorited content in one place, making it fast and easy to find and revisit the media you use most often.
